The Stone Masons Award was introduced around  2005 by the then Grand Master MW Bro Frank Millar to recognize the academic achievement and work complete by a Operative Stone Mason during his apprenticeship. The recommendation is made by the local TAFE College and the recipient is invited to the Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons of Queensland Annual Installation to be presented with an Award by the Most Worshipful Grand Master
